REELS TRENDS: DON’T LET CREATING CONTENT SPOOK YOU

JUST BECAUSE IT’S SPOOKY SEASON DOESN’T MEAN CONTENT CREATION HAS TO BE SCARY

It's the time of year where the Halloween decorations come out and we all start going back inside. During the summer, many of us find ourselves booked & busy, and so sometimes our marketing efforts start to slip. Fear not! We are here to share easy-to-recreate reels for any small business owner or brand. It's time to get back on track and to gear up our marketing efforts because before we know it... it's going to be 2023. Now, THAT is scary. (Note: When you recreate these incredible trends, you better be tagging us on IG so we can be your biggest fans. You can find us @timeisnowmarketing 💃)

#TimeTip: Log into your Instagram account and click on the reel image below to head over to the inspo! Once there, click the audio and save it, so you can easily find it again when you want to use it for your own content.

IF BEING OBSESSED IS WRONG, WE DON’T WANT TO BE RIGHT

This first trend is arguably the easiest of them all—get some footage of something you are OBSESSED with and pair it with this audio.

For product-based businesses, use this trend to share something new or an audience favourite that has come back in stock. In the caption, share the benefits or reasons you're so obsessed. If you're a creator who doesn't have physical products, share a few of your personal obsessions that you think your audience will vibe with. This will help build a connection and genuine relationship within your following.

SEARCH MODE: ACTIVATED

This is another simple trend to recreate and helps you practice getting comfy in front of the camera! For this trend, creators are adding text overlay of what they're researching or typing out on the computer. It could be from the POV of your audience or yourself. Creators are sharing such things as, "My audience researching when a product will get restocked" or "Messaging my bestie to complain about *this common/relatable problem*"

Just film yourself typing on the computer and add some text to let your viewers know what you’re doing!

#TimeTip: If showing your face on camera gives you anxiety, you can record yourself from the back or side—just demonstrate that you’re typing on a keyboard and add some copy for context.

I’M GOOD, I’M FEELIN ALIVE

There are a couple accounts on IG that create easy-to-apply audios and remixes of popular songs and this audio is a prime example of it. Using a sample from the song 'Blue', you can easily work this tune into any type of reel. Try decreasing the volume and recording a voiceover to educate your audience, put together a vlog, or combine clips of new product to announce a launch.

#TimeTip: Timing is everything for this trend. Put the first clip at 1.5 seconds and include 15 more clips or photos at 1 second each ☝️

I KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO (JK)

We quite literally don't care if quoting The Office is cheugy, we're never going to turn down a chance to highlight everyone's favourite boss, Michael Scott 🤷🏼‍♀️

For this lip-sync trend, you can mouth the words and show up on camera, or use clips of some BTS business things. This trend is great to get vulnerable with your audience about how scary it was to start your business, how you battle imposter syndrome, or to share in the universal experience that, even though sometimes we don't know wtf we're doing, it all works out.

#TimeTip: in case you don't know every quote from the office, the words you'll lipsync are "I knew exactly what to do, but in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do."

SENSUAL SEDUCTION 🎶

Snoop Dog is bringing us our fifth and final trend for this week 🖐 His 2008 banger, 'Sensual Seduction' is going viral and creating some pretty funny content.

The example we're giving is a tutorial of a chef making some fresh bread, but if you want to show up on camera, we have faith that you can make some pretty hilarious content that represents the inner dialogue you have when arguing with yourself about whether or not something is a good idea.

A great example of showing up on camera can be found on @corporatenatalie's IG, where she argues with herself about whether it's a good time to have a glass of wine, or not... and I mean... same, girl. Same 🥂
